Cross-Phase Computing
Year 5 pupils teach Computing to Reception class!
It has been another exciting week, where lots of new learning has taken place and I have enjoyed visiting all Junior classes observing quality first teaching in sentence stacking Writing sessions.
As shown in the picture above, some of our Year 5 children visited to help our Reception children get used to the IPADs and complete some online games and activities. It was great to see the older children grasp the responsibility well when working with the younger ones, and it was rewarding to see the little ones look up aspirationally to the older children. Well done all round!
The children had their photographs taken on Thursday and carried out some poetry work in honour of National Poetry Day, which had a theme of Refuge.
Make sure you sign up on our online booking Google form for a parent-teacher meeting, because working together with us for your child's education can only be productive and positive.
Next week, on Tuesday, our children can look forward to Mental Health Day where we hope our School Council will take the lead on how we can commemorate the occasion. Decorate a duck has been mentioned. Later in the week, we also have our first Years 5 and 6 Girls' Football match at home against Martham Girls and we have a visit from PC Martin who is visiting us to talk about safety on bonfire and firework nights.
Great efforts from everyone this week, so please keep it up.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.
