Spring Term Round Up

It's been another busy term!

I can't believe I have only just sat down to write a blog post. It has been such a busy term!

This term we have studied the Maya Civilisation which the children really enjoyed. We found out about how the ancient Maya recorded their ideas and the way in which their society was structured.

We found out about forces and properties of materials in our science lessons. We did lots of practical learning and especially enjoyed making paper aeroplanes.

We enjoyed learning about the effects of global warming in our geography unit. We were shocked to discover that forest fires have become a real danger to our everyday lives. We found out about flooding and made community flood plans, and we summarised everything we discovered in a slide show.

We found out about the gospel according to Matthew in our RE lessons and tried to answer the question, 'What would Jesus do?'

We have taken part in so many lovely enrichment opportunities. We went to East Norfolk Sixth Form College to find out about farming and livestock. We took part in a drawing workshop with Liz Pichon (author of Tom Gates), we dressed up for World Book Day, and we took part in the Comic Relief activities.

It's been a fantastic term and we are so looking forwards to taking the children away to Whitwell Hall for our residential trip. We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and comes back rested and looking forwards to lots more fun! I will spend the holiday trying to complete my Rubix cube.

Thank you for all of your support,

Mrs Angel and Miss McMylor
