Here come the Romans

The highlight of our week was definitely our class visit to Colchester Castle where we were able to start our work on the Romans. We were able to visit the vaults under the castle which were built by the Romans. There were lots of artefacts for us to look at and some clothes for the children to dress up in! One of the activities included some building work, one half of the class constructed a Roman villa and the other half an Iron Age roundhouse, the children worked well in their teams with varying degrees of success!!

The children represented the school very well and were complimented by the museum staff and the coach driver for their super behaviour.
