Music
Music at Ormesby Village Infant and Junior Schools Federation is something we are very proud of, because it provides further opportunities for our pupils to shine. This can be achieved when learning an instrument, singing or composing; all elements contributing to a development in our pupils' self-confidence and creativity. We have a music specialist teaching all our pupils across the year, ensuring there is a progression of key skills and ensuring our pupils are taught to evaluate the performance and content of music. It is uplifting, engaging and enables high amounts of pupil activity. The lives of great composers and musicians are studied, as well as learning about musical vocabulary and the skill of composing.
Pupils can aspire to become budding future musicians by accessing peripatetic sessions in drums, piano, keyboards, choir, musical theatre and violin with the help of Mrs. White-Joubert and Mr. Harris, our music specialists.
