Military Assembly & Vehicle about D-Day

It was fabulous to see a Willys Jeep arrive at school today thanks to Mr. Micklethwaite, who visited in authentic World War II uniform. He was accompanied by Lt. Col Byrne retired, who gave an amazing talk all about D-Day and Operation Overlord. The children enjoyed the presentation, in the style of a military briefing, and asked some probing questions showing off some valuable World War II knowledge. They all got a chance to sit in and around the Jeep before Mr. Young got to drive it around the playground.
